Ohio High School Softball - Elgin knocked off by Newark Catholic

In Thursday's non-league test, the Newark Catholic Green Wave (Newark, OH) softball squad overwhelmed the visiting Elgin Comets (Marion, OH), by a count of 15-5.

Next, the Green Wave meet the Bloom-Carroll Bulldogs (Carroll, OH) in a non-league test, on Friday, March 28. Newark Catholic will attempt to upgrade on its 2-1 season record. The Bulldogs go into the test with a 1-0 record after their 5-4 non-league win over Watkins Memorial (Pataskala, OH).

The Comets (0-1) will now prepare for their test against North Union (Richwood, OH). The Wildcats go into the non-league test with a 1-1 record. In their last test, North Union toppled Bishop Ready (Columbus, OH), 17-6, in a non-league test.
