In Thursday's non-league test, the Fulton Steamers (Fulton, IL) softball squad got by the visiting Ridgewood [AlWood/Cambridge] Spartans (Woodhull, IL), by a tally of 8-7.
Next, the Steamers clash with the Gardner-South Wilmington Panthers (Gardner, IL) in a non-league test, on Saturday, March 29. Fulton will attempt to advance on its 2-3 season record. The Panthers go into the test with a 2-2 record after their 10-0 league loss to Beecher (Beecher, IL).
The Spartans (2-2) will now prepare for their test against Henry-Senachwine (Henry, IL). The Mallards go into the non-league test with a 2-0 record. In their last test, Henry-Senachwine held off Dwight (Dwight, IL), 4-1, in a league test.
