The St. Rose Purple Roses softball team scored 12 runs and held the host Point Pleasant Beach Garnet Gulls to 8 in the Purple Roses league win on Thursday.

The Purple Roses now sport a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Brick Township for a non-league battle on Saturday, March 29.
