The Plainview Hornets baseball team scored 12 runs and held the host Marksville Tigers to 11 in the Hornets non-league win on Friday.
The Hornets now hold a 10-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Fairview for a non-league outing on Tuesday, March 31. Plainview will battle a Panthers squad coming off a 15-10 non-league win over Washington-Marion (Lake Charles, LA). The Panthers record now stands at 11-4.
The Tigers (4-16) will now prepare for their outing against Oberlin (Oberlin, LA). The Tigers come into the non-league outing with a 2-15 record. In their last test, Oberlin was nipped by Grand Lake (Lake Charles, LA), 5-3, in a league test.
