New Mexico High School Softball - Tohatchi bounces Mescalero Apache

In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Tohatchi Cougars softball team scored a nice 16-2 victory over the Mescalero Apache Chiefs.

The Cougars (1-8) will now prepare for their match against Mesilla Valley Christian School (Las Cruces, NM). The SonBlazers go into the non-league match with a 2-3 record. In their last match, Mesilla Valley Christian School was routed by Jal (Jal, NM), 17-16, in a non-league game.

The Chiefs now hold a 1-4 record. They play next when they travel to Navajo Pine for a non-league game on Friday, March 27. Mescalero Apache will play a Warriors squad coming off a 20-0 non-league loss to Lordsburg (Lordsburg, NM). The Warriors record now stands at 1-1.
