The Essex Trojans baseball team scored 14 runs and limited the host James Monroe Yellow Jackets to 5 in the Trojans non-league victory on Monday.
The Trojans (1-2) will now prepare for their match against West Point (West Point, VA). The Pointers go into the non-league match with a 0-3 record. In their last match, West Point was overwhelmed by Lancaster (Lancaster, VA), 12-3, in a non-league match.
The Yellow Jackets (1-1) will now prepare for their match against Brooke Point (Stafford, VA). The Black Hawks go into the non-league match with a 2-1 record. In their last match, Brooke Point gained a win over Courtland (Spotsylvania, VA), 6-3, in a non-league match.
