The Sumner Cowboys baseball team scored 21 runs and limited the host Independence Tigers to 0 in the Cowboys non-league victory on Monday.
The Cowboys (10-7) will now prepare for their match against Archbishop Hannan (Covington, LA). The Hawks go into the 3A District 8 match with a 9-12 record. In their last match, Archbishop Hannan gained a win over Pope John Paul II (Slidell, LA), 11-1, in a non-league match.
The Tigers (11-1) will now prepare for their match against Amite (Amite, LA). The Warriors go into the 2A District 9 match with a 1-9 record.
