Holy Ghost Prep Firebirds (Bensalem, PA) followers exited the stadium content Monday as they witnessed their lacrosse squad top the visiting Archbishop Wood Vikings (Warminster, PA), 17-5 in a non-league battle.
The Firebirds now have a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Pope John Paul II for a non-league battle on Wednesday, March 30. Holy Ghost Prep will clash with a squad coming off a 28-3 non-league win over New Hope-Solebury (New Hope, PA). The record now stands at 1-0.
In their next game, the Vikings clash with the Father Judge Crusaders (Philadelphia, PA) in a Catholic battle, on Friday, April 1. Archbishop Wood will attempt to move on its 0-1 season record. The Crusaders come into the battle with a 2-1 record after their 12-8 league win over Monsignor Bonner/Archbishop Prendergast Catholic (Drexel Hill, PA).
