In Monday's non-league outing, the host Newark Norsemen softball team scored a close 8-7 win over the Batavia Bulldogs.

Coming up next, the Norsemen battle the Newman Central Catholic Comets (Sterling, IL) in a non-league outing, on Tuesday, March 29. Newark will attempt to upgrade on its 6-2 season record. The Comets enter the outing with a 2-1 record after their 10-4 league loss to Kewanee (Kewanee, IL).
