Fleming Island Golden Eagles (Orange Park, FL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the host St. Johns Country Day Spartans (Orange Park, FL), 5-4 in a non-league challenge.
The Golden Eagles now own a 5-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Ridgeview for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, March 30. Fleming Island will battle a Panthers squad coming off a 4-0 non-league win over Palatka (Palatka, FL). The Panthers record now stands at 7-3.
In their next game, the Spartans clash with the Seacoast Christian Academy Eagles (Jacksonville, FL) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, March 29. St. Johns Country Day will attempt to move on its 4-2 season record. The Eagles come into the game with a 1-7 record after their 28-23 non-league win over Eagle's View (Jacksonville, FL).
