Florida High School Softball - University gets by Matanzas

March 28, 2022: Orange City, FL 32763

The University Titans (Orange City, FL) softball nipped the visiting Matanzas Pirates (Palm Coast, FL), 2-1 in Monday's non-league bout.

The Titans (6-3) will now prepare for their bout against Lake Howell (Winter Park, FL). The Silver Hawks go into the 6A District 4 bout with a 3-7 record. In their last bout, Lake Howell held off Winter Park (Winter Park, FL), 7-6, in a non-league bout.

The Pirates now possess a 5-2 record. They play next when they travel to Orlando Christian Prep for a non-league bout on Thursday, March 31. Matanzas will confront a Warriors squad coming off a 13-7 non-league loss to Timber Creek (Orlando, FL). The Warriors record now stands at 8-1.
