The Poquoson Islanders (Poquoson, VA) softball routed the visiting Menchville Monarchs (Newport News, VA), 9-0 in Monday's non-league bout.

The Islanders (2-0) will now prepare for their bout against Jamestown (Williamsburg, VA). The Eagles go into the Bay Rivers bout with a 0-2 record.

The Monarchs now possess a 3-1 record. They play next when they host Hampton for a Peninsula bout on Tuesday, March 29.
