The Tuscola Mountaineers softball team scored 15 runs and limited the host Mitchell Mountaineers to 0 in the Mountaineers non-league triumph on Monday.

With the triumph, Tuscola moves its record to 7-1 on the year. The Mountaineers host Pisgah (Canton, NC) to clash with the Bears in a Mountain Seven 3A game on Tuesday, March 29. The Bears come into the game with a record of 4-3. Pisgah lost 6-0 in their recent league game against West Henderson (Hendersonville, NC)

In their next game, the Mountaineers clash with the Cloudland Highlanders (Roan Mountain, TN) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, March 29. Mitchell will attempt to move on its 1-7 season record. The Highlanders come into the game with a 3-0 record after their 20-13 non-league win over Johnson County (Mountain City, TN).
