Yates Center Wildcats (Yates Center, KS) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting St. Paul Indians (St. Paul, KS), 24-1 in a non-league challenge.
The Wildcats now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Jayhawk Linn for a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 31.
With the loss, St. Paul falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Indians host Pleasanton (Pleasanton, KS) to battle the Blu-Jays in a non-league challenge on Monday, April 4. The Blu-Jays enter the challenge with a record of 0-0.
