The Geneseo Maple Leafs baseball team scored 14 runs and limited the host Orion Chargers to 2 in the Maple Leafs non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Maple Leafs (2-1) will now prepare for their match against Moline (Moline, IL). The Maroons go into the Western Big Six match with a 6-2 record. In their last match, Moline gained a win over Boylan Catholic (Rockford, IL), 11-0, in a non-league match.
The Chargers (5-2) will now prepare for their match against Rockridge (Taylor Ridge, IL). The Rockets go into the Three Rivers match with a 0-3 record. In their last match, Rockridge was overwhelmed by Plainfield Central (Plainfield, IL), 14-10, in a non-league match.
