In Tuesday's non-league test, the visiting Smithfield Sentinels lacrosse squad scored a tight 10-5 victory over the Johnston Panthers.
The Sentinels now have a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Cranston West for a Division 2 test on Friday, March 31.
In their next game, the Panthers face the Ponaganset Chieftains (North Scituate, RI) in a Division 3 test, on Friday, March 31. Johnston will attempt to move on its 0-1 season record. The Chieftains come into the test with a 1-0 record after their 15-13 non-league win over Mount St. Charles Academy (Woonsocket, RI).
