In Tuesday's non-league battle, the visiting Charlotte Catholic Cougars soccer squad scored a close 1-0 win over the Marvin Ridge Mavericks.
The Cougars (5-2) will now prepare for their battle against Providence (Charlotte, NC). The Panthers go into the Southwestern 4A battle with a 8-2 record. In their last battle, Providence nipped East Mecklenburg (Charlotte, NC), 9-0, in a league battle.
The Mavericks (4-2) will now prepare for their battle against South Mecklenburg (Charlotte, NC). The Sabres go into the non-league battle with a 5-2 record. In their last battle, South Mecklenburg nipped Harding University (Charlotte, NC), 9-0, in a league battle.
