Bay Port Pirates (Green Bay, WI) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Shawano Community Hawks (Shawano, WI), 8-1 in a non-league challenge.
The Pirates now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host West De Pere for a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 30. Bay Port will battle a Phantoms squad coming off a 3-1 non-league loss to Oshkosh West (Oshkosh, WI). The Phantoms record now stands at 0-1.
With the loss, Shawano Community falls to 2-2 on the campaign. The Hawks travel to Xavier (Appleton, WI) to battle the Hawks in a Bay challenge on Tuesday, April 4. The Hawks enter the challenge with a record of 0-0.
