In Tuesday's non-league contest, the Grant Community Bulldogs (Fox Lake, IL) softball team the host Elgin Comets (Marion, OH), by a margin of 4-2.
With the triumph, Grant Community moves its record to 4-4 on the year. The Bulldogs host Richmond-Burton (Richmond, IL) to play the Rockets in a non-league contest on Monday, April 3. The Rockets come into the contest with a record of 4-0. Richmond-Burton won 6-4 in their recent non-league contest against Central (Burlington, IL)
In their next game, the Comets play the Perry Commodores (Lima, OH) in a Northwest Central contest, on Thursday, March 30. Elgin will attempt to move on its 0-3 season record. The Commodores come into the contest with a 1-0 record after their 13-8 non-league win over Jackson Center (Jackson Center, OH).
