The Hughesville Spartans baseball team scored 9 runs and limited the visiting Lake-Lehman Knights to 3 in the Spartans non-league victory on Thursday.

The Spartans (2-0) will now prepare for their match against Southern Columbia Area (Catawissa, PA). The Tigers go into the Heartland III match with a 1-0 record. In their last match, Southern Columbia Area Williams Valley (Tower City, PA), 4-4, in a non-league match.

The Knights (0-2) will now prepare for their match against Tri-Valley (Hegins, PA). The Bulldogs go into the non-league match with a 2-1 record. In their last match, Tri-Valley was overwhelmed by Minersville (Minersville, PA), 5-4, in a league challenge.
