In Thursday's non-league game, the host Oceanside Pirates baseball team scored a tight 1-0 victory over the Taft Toreadors.
The Pirates (6-5) will now prepare for their game against Canyon Crest Academy (San Diego, CA). The Ravens go into the Avocado East game with a 3-10 record. In their last game, Canyon Crest Academy was edged by Vista (Vista, CA), 8-0, in a non-league game.
The Toreadors (5-11) will now prepare for their game against El Camino Real (Woodland Hills, CA). The Royals go into the West Valley game with a 8-7 record. In their last game, El Camino Real tipped Elk Grove (Elk Grove, CA), 7-0, in a non-league game.
