The Tug Valley Panthers baseball team scored 16 runs and limited the host Phelps Hornets to 8 in the Panthers non-league victory on Thursday.
The Panthers (3-3) will now prepare for their match against Pike County Central (Pikeville, KY). The Hawks go into the non-league match with a 1-7 record. In their last match, Pike County Central was overwhelmed by Knott County Central (Hindman, KY), 10-4, in a non-league match.
The Hornets (4-6) will now prepare for their match against Buckhorn (Buckhorn, KY). The Wildcats go into the non-league match with a 2-4 record. In their last match, Buckhorn was overwhelmed by Perry County Central (Hazard, KY), 16-0, in a league match.
