Thomas Jefferson Gryphons (Mooresboro, NC) supporters were pleased Thursday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the host Burns Bulldogs (Lawndale, NC), 5-0 in a league challenge.
Next, the Gryphons confront the Bessemer City Yellow Jackets (Bessemer City, NC) in a Southern Piedmont 1A/2A challenge, on Tuesday, April 9. Thomas Jefferson will attempt to move on its 6-2 season record. The Yellow Jackets enter the challenge with a 1-7 record after their 9-0 league loss to East Gaston (Mt. Holly, NC).
The Bulldogs now possess a 5-7 record. They take the field next when they host Highland Tech for a Southern Piedmont 1A/2A challenge on Tuesday, April 9. Burns will confront a Rams team coming off a 3-2 league win over East Gaston (Mt. Holly, NC). The Rams record now stands at 6-3.
