The Smithsburg Leopards lacrosse team scored 16 points and limited the visiting Governor Thomas Johnson Patriots to 1 in the Leopards non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Leopards (3-0) will now prepare for their game against Boonsboro (Boonsboro, MD). The Warriors enter the Freelance game with a 1-0 record. In their last game, Boonsboro toppled Frederick (Frederick, MD), 15-1, in a non-league game.
