Spectators at Thursday's non-league match between the Central Wildcats (Baton Rouge, LA) and the visiting Albany Hornets (Albany, LA), witnessed Central's softball squad tip Albany by a count of 4-1.

The Wildcats now sport a 16-6 record. They play next when they travel to Springfield for a non-league match on Saturday, March 30. Central will face a Bulldogs squad coming off a 15-0 league loss to Pope John Paul II (Slidell, LA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 8-12.

With the loss, Albany moves to 11-9 on the season. The Hornets travel to Slaughter Community Charter (Slaughter, LA) to encounter the Knights in a non-league test on Friday, March 29. The Knights come into the test with a record of 9-6. Slaughter Community Charter lost 6-3 in their recent league test against Central Private (Baker, LA)
