The Manteno Panthers routed the host Bloom Blazing Trojan softball squad by a final score of 14-2 in Thursday's non-league battle.

The Panthers (9-0) will now prepare for their battle against Wilmington (Wilmington, IL). The Wildcats go into the Illinois Central Eight battle with a 5-1 record. In their last battle, Wilmington notched a victory over Reed-Custer (Braidwood, IL), 17-7, in a league battle.

The Blazing Trojan now possess a 2-3 record. They play next when they host Rich Township for a Southland Athletic battle on Monday, April 1. Bloom will meet a Raptors squad coming off a 19-7 non-league win over Thornton Fractional North (Calumet City, IL). The Raptors record now stands at 1-5.
