In Thursday's non-league contest, the Boonville Pioneers (Boonville, IN) softball team overwhelmed the visiting New Albany Bulldogs (New Albany, IN), by a margin of 7-2.

In their next game, the Bulldogs play the North Harrison Cougars (Ramsey, IN) in a non-league contest, on Monday, April 1. New Albany will attempt to move on its 0-1 season record. The Cougars come into the contest with a 0-3 record after their 5-2 non-league loss to Mt. Vernon (Mt. Vernon, IN).
