Normandy Invaders (Parma, OH) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Cuyahoga Heights Red Wolves (Cleveland, OH), 15-14 in a non-league challenge.

The Invaders now own a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Buckeye for a Great Lakes challenge on Monday, April 1. Normandy will battle a Bucks squad coming off a 4-3 non-league loss to Columbiana (Columbiana, OH). The Bucks record now stands at 3-2.

With the loss, Cuyahoga Heights falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Red wolves host Southeast (Ravenna, OH) to battle the Pirates in a non-league challenge on Friday, March 29. The Pirates enter the challenge with a record of 1-0. Southeast won 16-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Cardinal (Middlefield, OH)
