In Thursday's non-league contest, the Smithville Seminoles (Smithville, MS) softball team held off the visiting East Webster Wolverines (Maben, MS), by a margin of 14-13.
With the triumph, Smithville moves its record to 11-8 on the year. The Seminoles host Potts Camp (Potts Camp, MS) to play the Cardinals in a non-league contest on Saturday, March 30. The Cardinals come into the contest with a record of 7-2.
In their next game, the Wolverines play the Nettleton Tigers (Nettleton, MS) in a 3A Region 4 contest, on Tuesday, April 2. East Webster will attempt to move on its 11-10 season record.
