Glenwood Titans (Chatham, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Springfield Senators (Springfield, IL), 4-0 in a league challenge.

The Titans now own a 5-0 record. They take the field next when they host Sacred Heart-Griffin for a Central State Eight challenge on Tuesday, April 2. Glenwood will battle a Cyclones squad coming off a 5-3 non-league win over North Mac (Virden, IL). The Cyclones record now stands at 4-1.

With the loss, Springfield falls to 5-1 on the campaign. The Senators travel to Bloomington (Bloomington, IL) to battle the Purple Raiders in a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 30. The Purple Raiders enter the challenge with a record of 1-2. Bloomington won 1-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Mahomet-Seymour (Mahomet, IL)
