The Hernando Tigers (Hernando, MS) softball routed the host Marion Patriots (Marion, AR), 18-5 in Thursday's non-league bout.

The Tigers (16-5) will now prepare for their bout against Horn Lake (Horn Lake, MS). The Eagles go into the 7A Region 1 bout with a 0-10 record. In their last bout, Horn Lake was routed by Oxford (Oxford, MS), 15-0, in a league bout.

The Patriots now possess a 2-8 record. They play next when they travel to Brookland for a non-league bout on Friday, March 29. Marion will confront a Bearcats squad coming off a 7-5 league win over Southside (Batesville, AR). The Bearcats record now stands at 9-5.
