Itawamba Agricultural Indians (Fulton, MS) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host South Pontotoc Cougars (Pontotoc, MS), 16-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Indians now sport a 18-1 record. They take the field next when they host Nettleton for a non-league challenge on Monday, April 1. Itawamba Agricultural will face a Tigers squad coming off a 20-2 league win over Aberdeen (Aberdeen, MS). The Tigers record now stands at 8-3.

With the loss, South Pontotoc falls to 9-5 on the campaign. The Cougars host New Albany (New Albany, MS) to face the Bulldogs in a 4A Region 2 challenge on Monday, April 1. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a record of 4-12. New Albany lost 17-3 in their recent league challenge against Senatobia (Senatobia, MS)
