Jersey Shore Bulldogs (Jersey Shore, PA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Milton Black Panthers (Milton, PA), 5-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Bulldogs now own a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they host Tri-Valley for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 6. Jersey Shore will face a Bulldogs squad coming off a 5-2 non-league win over Pine Grove (Pine Grove, PA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 2-0.

With the loss, Milton falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Black panthers host Lewisburg (Lewisburg, PA) to face the Green Dragons in a Heartland II challenge on Tuesday, April 2. The Green Dragons enter the challenge with a record of 0-3. Lewisburg lost 15-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Danville (Danville, PA)
