Northeast Jones Tigers (Laurel, MS) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Kemper County Wildcats (DeKalb, MS), 18-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Tigers now own a 11-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Mendenhall for a 4A Region 5 challenge on Tuesday, April 2. Northeast Jones will face a Tigers squad coming off a 8-1 league win over Quitman (Quitman, MS). The Tigers record now stands at 6-3.

With the loss, Kemper County falls to 6-11 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Noxubee County (Macon, MS) to face the Tigers in a 3A Region 5 challenge on Tuesday, April 2. The Tigers enter the challenge with a record of 0-3. Noxubee County lost 15-0 in their recent league challenge against McLaurin (Florence, MS)
