The Neshoba Central Rockets (Philadelphia, MS) softball routed the visiting Lake Hornets (Lake, MS), 8-1 in Thursday's non-league bout.
The Rockets (18-2) will now prepare for their bout against West Lauderdale (Collinsville, MS). The Knights go into the non-league bout with a 17-2 record. In their last bout, West Lauderdale held off Clarkdale (Meridian, MS), 13-4, in a non-league bout.
The Hornets now possess a 10-7 record. They play next when they host Scott Central for a 2A Region 5 bout on Tuesday, April 2. Lake will confront a Rebels squad coming off a 11-1 league loss to Bay Springs (Bay Springs, MS). The Rebels record now stands at 3-10.
