In Thursday's league contest, the Sulphur Golden Tors (Sulphur, LA) softball team overwhelmed the visiting New Iberia Yellowjackets (New Iberia, LA), by a margin of 10-0.
With the triumph, Sulphur moves its record to 18-8 on the year. The Golden Tors host Acadiana (Lafayette, LA) to play the Rams in a 5A District 3 contest on Monday, April 1. The Rams come into the contest with a record of 7-14. Acadiana won 5-4 in their recent league contest against Lafayette (Lafayette, LA)
In their next game, the Yellowjackets play the Highland Baptist Christian Bears (New Iberia, LA) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, March 30. New Iberia will attempt to move on its 10-12 season record.
