The Belton-Honea Path Bears baseball team scored 9 runs and held the host Palmetto Mustangs to 5 in the Bears non-league win on Friday.
The Bears now own a 5-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Christ Church Episcopal for a non-league test on Wednesday, April 2. Belton-Honea Path will clash with a Cavaliers team coming off a 16-0 league win over Carolina Academy (Greenville, SC). The Cavaliers record now stands at 5-5.
With the defeat, Palmetto drops to 1-9 on the year. The Mustangs host Ware Shoals (Ware Shoals, SC) to clash with the Hornets in a non-league test on Monday, March 31. The Hornets go into the test with a record of 9-2. Ware Shoals won 10-8 in their recent non-league test against Abbeville (Abbeville, SC)
