In Friday's non-league game, the host Chatham Cavaliers baseball team scored a nice 18-7 win over the George Washington Eagles.
The Cavaliers (1-4) will now prepare for their game against Nelson County (Lovingston, VA). The Governors go into the Dogwood game with a 2-2 record. In their last game, Nelson County knocked off Stuarts Draft (Stuarts Draft, VA), 8-7, in a non-league game.
Next, the Eagles play the Mecklenburg County Phoenix (Baskerville, VA) in a non-league game, on Monday, March 31. George Washington will attempt to improve on its 0-3 season record. The Phoenix go into the game with a 0-1 record after their 3-2 non-league loss to Randolph-Henry (Charlotte Court House, VA).
