The Omaha Central Eagles baseball squad (Omaha, NE), was edged 17-16 in Friday's non-league contest with the host Grand Island Islanders (Grand Island, NE)

With the triumph, Grand Island moves its record to 3-0 on the season. The Islanders host Lincoln East (Lincoln, NE) to confront the Spartans in a non-league contest on Monday, March 31. The Spartans come into the contest with a record of 6-0. Lincoln East won 11-1 in their recent non-league contest against Columbus (Columbus, NE)

The Eagles now possess a 2-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Gross Catholic for a non-league contest on Saturday, March 29. Omaha Central will confront a Cougars squad coming off a 9-5 non-league win over Omaha South (Omaha, NE). The Cougars record now stands at 2-1.
