The Grove Ridgerunners (Grove, OK) baseball trounced the host McDonald County Mustangs (Anderson, MO), 8-2 in Friday's non-league challenge.
The Ridgerunners now own a 6-6 record. They take the field next when they host Oologah for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 1. Grove will clash with a Mustangs team coming off a 2-1 non-league win over Jay (Jay, OK). The Mustangs record now stands at 1-4.
With the defeat, McDonald County drops to 0-3 on the year. The Mustangs host Warrensburg (Warrensburg, MO) to clash with the Tigers in a Class 5 District 7 challenge on Saturday, March 29. The Tigers go into the challenge with a record of 2-2. Warrensburg won 8-5 in their recent non-league challenge against Oak Park (Kansas City, MO)
