Wakefield Warriors (Arlington, VA) followers exited the stadium satisfied Friday as they saw their lacrosse team top the host Mount Vernon Majors (Alexandria, VA), 11-2 in a non-league game.
With the victory, Wakefield advances its record to 3-0 on the season. The Warriors host Jackson-Reed (Washington, DC) to battle the Tigers in a non-league test on Thursday, April 3. The Tigers enter the test with a record of 1-1.
Next, the Majors battle the Thomas Jefferson Science & Technology Colonials (Alexandria, VA) in a National test, on Tuesday, April 1. Mount Vernon will attempt to move on its 1-2 season record. The Colonials enter the test with a 1-2 record after their 15-0 non-league win over Osbourn (Manassas, VA).
