Fans at Friday's league battle between the Washington-Wilkes Tigers (Washington, GA) and the visiting Greene County Tigers (Greensboro, GA), saw Washington-Wilkes's soccer squad prevail over Greene County by a count of 5-1.

The Tigers (2-7) will now prepare for their battle against Towns County (Hiawassee, GA). The Indians enter the 1A D-II Area 5 battle with a 9-1 record. In their last battle, Towns County tipped Hart County (Hartwell, GA), 2-1, in a non-league battle.

Next up, the Tigers battle the Salem Seminoles (Conyers, GA) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, April 1. Greene County will attempt to upgrade on its 2-11 season record. The Seminoles enter the battle with a 5-5 record after their 4-3 league win over Redan (Stone Mountain, GA).
