Kentucky High School Softball - Metcalfe County bounces Bardstown

The Metcalfe County Hornets (Edmonton, KY) softball routed the visiting Bardstown Tigers (Bardstown, KY), 9-2 in Friday's non-league outing.

The Hornets now sport a 4-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Cumberland County for a District 16 outing on Saturday, March 29. Metcalfe County will encounter a Panthers team coming off a 17-1 non-league loss to Taylor County (Campbellsville, KY). The Panthers record now stands at 1-4.

With the loss, Bardstown moves to 0-4 on the season. The Tigers host Whitefield Academy (Louisville, KY) to encounter the Wildcats in a non-league outing on Monday, April 7. The Wildcats come into the outing with a record of 0-2. Whitefield Academy lost 12-7 in their recent non-league outing against Collins (Shelbyville, KY)
