The crowd at Friday's non-league bout between the Carlsbad Cavemen/Cavegirls (Carlsbad, NM) and the visiting Los Lunas Tigers (Los Lunas, NM), observed Carlsbad's softball team get by Los Lunas by a tally of 8-3.

The Cavemen/Cavegirls (5-4) will now prepare for their bout against Aztec (Aztec, NM). The Tigers go into the non-league bout with a 4-9 record. In their last bout, Aztec tipped West Mesa (Albuquerque, NM), 8-2, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Tigers clash with the Atrisco Heritage Academy Jaguars (Albuquerque, NM) in a 5A District 5 bout, on Tuesday, April 1. Los Lunas will attempt to advance on its 8-5 season record. The Jaguars go into the bout with a 8-4 record after their 7-5 non-league loss to Cibola (Albuquerque, NM).
