The Hobbs Eagles softball team scored 16 runs and held the visiting Cibola Cougars to 0 in the Eagles non-league win on Friday.

The Eagles now sport a 5-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to La Cueva for a non-league battle on Saturday, March 29. Hobbs will confront a Bears team coming off a 15-0 non-league win over Robertson (Las Vegas, NM). The Bears record now stands at 9-3.

With the loss, Cibola moves to 12-2 on the season. The Cougars travel to Atrisco Heritage Academy (Albuquerque, NM) to confront the Jaguars in a non-league battle on Friday, March 28. The Jaguars come into the battle with a record of 8-1. Atrisco Heritage Academy won 7-4 in their recent non-league battle against Albuquerque (Albuquerque, NM)
