The Dakota Indians softball team scored 21 runs and held the visiting Freeport Pretzels to 3 in the Indians non-league win on Friday.

The Indians now sport a 3-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Forreston for a Northwest Upstate Illini - North battle on Tuesday, April 1. Dakota will confront a Cardinals team coming off a 17-5 non-league loss to Jacksonville (Jacksonville, IL). The Cardinals record now stands at 2-4.

With the loss, Freeport moves to 1-4 on the season. The Pretzels travel to Oregon (Oregon, IL) to confront the Hawks in a non-league battle on Tuesday, April 1. The Hawks come into the battle with a record of 4-1. Oregon won 16-8 in their recent non-league battle against Milledgeville (Milledgeville, IL)
