The Tipton Cardinals softball team scored 11 runs and held the host La Monte Vikings to 1 in the Cardinals non-league win on Friday.

The Cardinals now sport a 2-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Northwest for a Class 1 District 7 battle on Saturday, March 29. Tipton will encounter a Mustangs team coming off a 11-0 non-league win over Santa Fe (Alma, MO). The Mustangs record now stands at 4-1.

With the loss, La Monte moves to 0-2 on the season. The Vikings host Midway (Cleveland, MO) to encounter the Vikings in a non-league battle on Saturday, March 29. The Vikings come into the battle with a record of 1-1. Midway won 5-2 in their recent non-league battle against Lakeland (Deepwater, MO)
