North Carolina High School Softball - Perquimans bounces Lawrence Academy

The Perquimans Pirates softball team scored 9 runs and held the host Lawrence Academy Warriors to 5 in the Pirates non-league win on Friday.

The Pirates now possess a 8-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Tarboro for a Four Rivers 1A battle on Tuesday, April 1. Perquimans will confront a Vikings team coming off a 19-3 league loss to Gates County (Gatesville, NC). The Vikings record now stands at 2-4.

With the loss, Lawrence Academy moves to 7-3 on the season. The Warriors travel to Arendell Parrott Academy (Kinston, NC) to confront the Patriots in a non-league battle on Tuesday, April 1. The Patriots come into the battle with a record of 2-6. Arendell Parrott Academy lost 19-5 in their recent league battle against John Paul II Catholic (Greenville, NC)
