Kentucky High School Softball - Murphysboro drops to Marshall County

The Murphysboro Red Devils softball squad (Murphysboro, IL), was routed 12-2 in Friday's non-league contest with the host Marshall County Marshals (Benton, KY)

With the triumph, Marshall County improves its record to 10-1 on the year. The Marshals travel to Marengo (Marengo, IL) to face the Indians in a non-league contest on Saturday, March 29. The Indians enter the contest with a record of 3-2. Marengo won 14-1 in their recent non-league contest against Livingston Central (Smithland, KY)

The Red Devils now hold a 2-6 record. They play next when they travel to McCracken County for a non-league contest on Saturday, March 29. Murphysboro will face a Mustangs squad coming off a 12-2 non-league win over Ballard Memorial (Barlow, KY). The Mustangs record now stands at 6-1.
