The Wellington-Napoleon Tigers softball team scored 16 runs and held the host Smithton Tigers to 3 in the Tigers non-league win on Friday.

The Tigers now sport a 3-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host St. Paul Lutheran for a Class 1 District 8 battle on Monday, March 31. Wellington-Napoleon will encounter a Saints team coming off a 17-0 non-league loss to Sweet Springs (Sweet Springs, MO). The Saints record now stands at 0-2.

With the loss, Smithton moves to 0-2 on the season. The Tigers host Orrick (Orrick, MO) to encounter the Bearcats in a non-league battle on Saturday, March 29. The Bearcats come into the battle with a record of 0-3. Orrick lost 29-6 in their recent league battle against Wellington-Napoleon (Wellington, MO)
